Dr. Suhaila Hussain Qayed

Dr. Suhaila Hussain Qayed is a distinguished healthcare administration leader and medical education expert with over two decades of experience across the UAE and UK. She currently serves as the Director of the Training and Continuing Education Department at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), where she leads strategic planning, accreditation, and competency development for emergency medical training programs. Her role includes advising senior leadership, aligning departmental goals with DCAS’s mission, and ensuring regulatory compliance and international standards in medical education.

Previously, Dr. Qayed held several senior roles at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), including Director of the DHA Office in London, where she spearheaded operational upgrades, cost-saving initiatives, and global patient support systems. She also served as Head of Academic Affairs, where she launched and managed the Dubai Residency Training Program (DRTP), established strategic partnerships with global institutions, and led digital transformation efforts in medical education.

Her career began as a Family Physician and Medical Resident, during which she contributed to key committees such as the Joint Commission International Accreditation Committee and the Child Abuse Regulation Group. She has consistently demonstrated excellence in change management, strategic planning, and capacity building.

Dr. Qayed holds an MBBS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Zayed University. She is certified in Six Sigma (Black Belt), Digital Transformation, Talent Management, and Organizational Leadership, among others.

Her work reflects a deep commitment to improving healthcare outcomes, fostering innovation in medical education, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
