Ms. Courtney Schwerin O’Reilly

Ms. Courtney Schwerin O’Reilly is the Executive Director of Illinois Heart Rescue (ILHR), leading efforts to improve neurologically intact survival of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) across Illinois.

With a passionate focus on addressing disparities in minority and women’s health outcomes, she drives initiatives aimed at ensuring equitable access to life-saving interventions and resources across the OHCA chain of survival.

In addition to leading a skilled and motivated team, Courtney is a staunch advocate for rural communities, working tirelessly to implement effective strategies tailored to their unique needs. Recognizing the urgency of the opioid crisis, she has championed initiatives for fatal overdose prevention, partnering with community-based organizations to promote awareness and provide life-saving education and resources.
