Dr. Tarek Hazwani is a Pediatric Intensive Care Consultant, Associate Professor, and a certified Professional Trainer. He possesses extensive experience in critical care and has a proven track record in driving quality improvements in healthcare. Dr. Hazwani is recognized for his expertise in simulation education, with a strong focus on soft skills, communication, and leadership training to enhance team performance and patient outcomes.
As an Associate Professor at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Hazwani integrates effective education strategies into clinical practice, mentoring healthcare professionals to excel in high-pressure environments. He is also a certified trainer for the ‘Training-of-Trainers (ToT) on the go’ program, which further extends his dedication to faculty development by equipping clinician teachers with advanced teaching and assessment methodologies.
Dr. Hazwani currently serves as the Head of Simulation Programs at Riyadh Clinical Simulation Center (RCSC), and the Pediatric Simulation Training & Education Program (PediSTEP) Chair at King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital. He is also the course director for the Pediatric Residency Simulation Course (PedSim Training) and the PICU Boot Camp Course at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences.
