Mr. Bahaa Mustafa serves as the EMS Operations Manager for the ambulance service in the UAE. Mr. Bahaa has seventeen years of experience in education, emergency services operations, and hospital services. My career spans roles across Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, combining clinical practice, education, and leadership in EMS.
For the past eleven years, Mr. Bahaa worked in the United Arab Emirates as an Operations Team Leader, Field Training Officer, Advanced Clinical Educator, and now EMS Operations Manager for the ambulance service. In these roles, he coordinated the clinical education team and played a central role in developing the Emirati EMT program at Sharjah University, from inception through graduating the first cohort of Emirati nationals serving on the frontline of ambulance services in the Northern Emirates. His responsibilities included conducting gap analyses, designing curricula, and developing course syllabi. As a Field Training Officer, he trained and mentored EMS staff at all levels, ensuring delivery of high-quality pre-hospital care. Operationally, he also served as a Paramedic, Team Leader for Northern Emirates EMS staff, and mSilver Commander for national and international events.
Mr. Bahaa holds instructor status with the American Heart Association, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and the American Safety and Health Institute. He has completed AHA program coordination and administration training and hold BLS TCF credentials.
Before moving to the UAE, Mr. Bahaa worked in Jordan for six years as an intensive care unit nurse and charge nurse in the emergency department.
Mr. Bahaa hold a Diploma in Nursing from Zarqa College, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Hashemite University, and a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training. I have also completed a Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) at Gulf Medical University.
