Dr. Bahaa is a physician specialized in Public Health with over 35 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Khartoum, a Master’s degree in Public Health from Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and a Diploma in Epidemiology from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bahaa has served at the Ministry of Health in Sudan at various levels, where he founded both the Health Promotion Department and the Communicable Diseases Department. He has also held leadership positions as Director of the Public Health Institute in Sudan and as Director of the Health Department at the Sudanese Red Crescent, in addition to his work as a physician and supervisor in Primary Care and Public Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
With extensive training from the Ministries of Health in Sudan and Saudi Arabia, as well as international organizations including WHO, UNICEF, and IFRC, Dr. Bahaa is also a certified trainer in Community-Based Initiatives (CBI), Health Promotion and Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Systems and District Health Systems, Primary Health Care, and Public Health in Emergencies (PHiE).
